In a statement published following a recently held extraordinary meeting, the organizing committee stated that the best way to honor the spirit of the late president is to continue organizing new editions of the festival with the same perseverance and seriousness, noting that the prize named after late Sail will be announced during the commemoration of the 40th day of his passing.
With the demise of Noureddine Sail, the foundation lost a seasoned president, who marked the cultural and audiovisual spheres with his distinguished contributions, underlined the statement, noting that, throughout his journey, the late president fulfilled his missions with a remarkable patriotism.
The same source recalled that late Sail, who stood out within the National Federation of Moroccan Film Clubs, contributed to radio and TV programs and founded the Khouribga Festival in 1977. He was also in charge of the programming of “Canal Horizons” and held the positions of director of TV channel 2M and Chairman of the Moroccan Cinematographic Center (CCM).
