I welcome the progress made by the Libyan parties towards a comprehensive agreement on the criteria for posts of sovereignty in accordance with Article 15 of the Libyan Political Agreement, and I salute the Kingdom of Morocco for its initiative to overcome divisions and bring peace and stability to Libya, Cozzolino said in a statement issued at the end of the second round of the inter-Libyan dialogue between the delegations of the High Council of State and the House of Representatives, held in Bouznika.
Cozzolino stressed "the importance of the European Union's support for the international community's collective effort, particularly in restoring the provision of basic services and security to the Libyan people, who have so long suffered the devastating consequences of the conflict now compounded by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Reiterating the need for an immediate cessation of foreign military interventions in Libya and the effective implementation of the UN arms embargo," the DMAG president stressed that all Libyans must work for a lasting ceasefire and contribute to the UN-facilitated Libyan Political Dialogue Forum.
