The Moroccan ambassador also recalled that more than 300,000 inhabitants of the Lebanese capital are today homeless, in a context marked by the health crisis of covid-19, as well as a difficult economic and social situation "for this brotherly country whose humanitarian situation is personally followed by HM King Mohammed VI".
Addahre also recalled the huge humanitarian assistance system put in place upon High Instructions from the Sovereign, to support the Lebanese people in this painful ordeal.
Moroccan medical and humanitarian aid required the establishment of an airlift with 17 engines mobilized to deliver food aid, first-aid medicines, tents and blankets for the accommodation of the victims and prevention medical equipment against the covid-19 pandemic which is also hitting Lebanon hard, he said.
A military field hospital has also been set up to treat the wounded, he said, adding that this Moroccan medical structure which receives hundreds of patients per day, comprises 150 people including 45 doctors of all specialties.
