Since the launch of the services of this medical facility on August 10, some 1,435 people have benefited from the services provided by the hospital staff by receiving treatment, examinations and health care services covering various specialties.
The hospital's medical staff performed 24 surgeries in various specialties, including general surgery, orthopedics and joint medicine, neurology, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, gynecology, obstetric surgery, intensive care, burn surgery, reconstructive surgery, anesthesia, pediatrics and general medicine.
It also provided several basic treatment services, including 81 medical analysis services, and performed 165 x-ray examinations, in addition to free distribution of drugs to more than 1,200 people.
Reflecting the Sovereign's strong desire to provide urgent medical assistance to Lebanon to overcome the difficult circumstances facing the country, this field hospital houses an operating room, hospitalization, radiology and sterilization units, a laboratory, and a pharmacy.
HM King Mohammed VI had given his High Instructions for sending emergency medical and humanitarian aid to the Lebanese Republic, following the tragic explosion in the port of Beirut.
The Sovereign had also gave His High Instructions for sending and deploying a military field hospital in Beirut in order to provide emergency medical care to the populations injured in this incident.
