In an article published Wednesday, the Chilean media noted that Morocco has set up a field hospital, deployed doctors and sent aid to support the Lebanese people who were badly affected by the explosions that shook the capital Beirut.
HM King Mohammed VI, on behalf of the Moroccan people, sent humanitarian aid to mitigate the effects of the tragedy that left 174 dead and 6,000 wounded, wrote the Chilean information portal.
The same source recalled that the Sovereign had addressed a message of condolence and compassion to the President of the Lebanese Republic, Michel Aoun, in which he expressed in his personal name and on behalf of the Moroccan people, his sincere feelings of "compassion and solidarity with Lebanon in these difficult and painful times", assuring him that "the Kingdom of Morocco stands steadfastly by the brotherly Lebanese people".
