"It is an exemplary act of African-African solidarity, embodying the values of mutual aid. As a representative of WHO, I can only welcome this gesture," Zouiten told MAP.
Through this noble initiative, he went on to say, Morocco played the role of "the big brother" who provides support to his African colleagues, in the most difficult times.
The WHO representative described the Kingdom's management of the Covid-19 pandemic as "exemplary" and "exceptional", noting that Morocco has a significant experience in this area and is generously sharing its knowledge with brotherly African countries.
Emphasizing the "made in Morocco" preventive medical equipment provided by the Kingdom, Zouiten noted that "the manufacturing by Morocco of all the equipment necessary to stem the epidemic reflects the quality of its experience".
"I can proudly say that the Kingdom is doing an extraordinary and wonderful job," he concluded.
HM King Mohammed VI has given his high instructions to send a medical aid to several African countries to support their efforts in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
This solidarity action is part of the implementation of the Initiative launched by HM the King on April 13, 2020, as a pragmatic and action-oriented approach, intended to the brotherly African countries, enabling the sharing of experiences and good practices and aiming to establish an operational framework in order to support their efforts in the various phases of the management of the pandemic.
