The 8 km-race, themed "running for my health", kicked off with the participation of tens of athletes from Special Olympics, along with thousands of females from schools, and cultural and sports association in remote villages, and professional athletes from the Royal Athletics Federation.
At the end of the race, HRH Princess Lalla Amina handed a trophy offered by the Women, achievements and Values Association to Mohamed El Gourch, winner three times of Morocco's cycle race in 1960, 1964 and 1965.
Princess Lalla Amina also granted the prizes to the three winners of the official competition: Meriem Moukim (first), Hajar Kadioui (second) and Naima Harouz (third).
Princess Lalla Amina also gave the prizes to the first ten athletes of Special Olympics. The three winners are Ghita El Oubid, Siham Lemkadmi and Wisal El Jabri.
The Princess also awarded the prizes to three schoolgirls from the Moulay Chérif Tijani high school in Temara, namely Hanae Tarch, Ilham Karoum and Hasnae Zahi.
