"This is the first edition after the forced break imposed by the pandemic COVID-19," said a statement of AMICA, an association that brings together all stakeholders in the automotive sector, noting that this event is a professional meeting at the level of the northern region.
The AMT represents a space for exhibition of the know-how of Moroccan actors in the automotive sector, in addition to being a meeting point between operators of the Euro-Mediterranean automotive industry.
The program of this edition includes meetings between professionals, as well as conferences and thematic round tables led by experts in the sector.
The organizers expect to bring together an audience composed of major stakeholders in the industry at national and international levels, including car manufacturers based in Morocco, and Tier 1 and 2 equipment manufacturers present in the Kingdom, in addition to logistics and representatives of engineering firms and Moroccan administrations related to the automotive industry.
The 2022 edition will be held, as usual, in Tangier, the region that hosts the Renault Industrial Park, the Tanger Med Port, the TAC (Tangier Automotive City) and the Tangier Free Zone (TFZ), with a mature and dense industrial fabric made up of world-renowned equipment manufacturers and SMEs.
According to the organizers, this edition will be an opportunity to review several topics that are current in the Moroccan automotive industry, in this case the repercussions of the pandemic crisis of the coronavirus, the change in the supply chain, the difficulties of supply and the impact of high energy costs on the Moroccan industrial sector.
This meeting will also highlight the willingness of Morocco to engage in the global dynamics of the fight against climate change, through the implementation of actions to decarbonize the automotive industry.
