In the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, the fires that affected the forest of Sahel El Menzla (Larache) and Mokrisset (Ouezzane) have been definitively controlled.
Efforts are under way to contain the fires in the forests of L'Qolla (Larache), Jbel Lahbib (Tetouan) and Tassift (Chefchaouen).
In a statement to the press, Sadiki stressed that this visit to the areas most affected by the forest fires that broke out in the province of Larache has allowed to inquire about the situation of the inhabitants of these areas and the damage caused by these fires, especially on the forest cover and the ecological ecosystem of the region.
In this regard, the minister welcomed the "important and coordinated" intervention of all parties concerned, and forest firefighting teams under the various departments and institutions, supported by the Royal Armed Forces and volunteers, which has contributed effectively to contain the fires, noting that this coordination is part of a "strategy of governance and solidarity, pursuant to the High Directives of HM King Mohammed VI".
