The Sovereign says he was deeply moved by this tragic loss, "the more so as the late Abe had cordial relations with the Kingdom of Morocco," adding that the former Prime Minister invariably sought to conolidate the bonds of friendhip and cooperation between the two nations.

On this sad occasion, HM the King expresses to the Emperor of Japan and the family and relatives of the late great statesman his deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy.

"Please convey my deepest condolences to the Japanese people, who have lost an accomplished poitical leader," the Sovereign points out, adding that the late Shinzo Abe devoted his life to serving his fellow citizens' best interests and fulfilling their aspirations, in addition to working tirelessly for the promotion of global peace and prosperity.
