Following the voting operation, the new office is made up of Abdellatif Mazouz (1st deputy-president), Rachid El Abdi (2nd deputy-president), Omar Moro (3rd deputy-president) and Adil Barakat (treasurer), the association says in a release.
During this meeting, which was also attended by representatives of the General Directorate of Local Authorities of the ministry of the Interior, the association's former president, Mohand Laenser, congratulated all the presidents for the confidence placed in them, wishing them every success in their new missions.
He also highlighted the main activities organized by the association during the period 2016-2021 as well as the main projects carried out in partnership with national institutions, while insisting on the fruitful cooperation with the General Directorate of Local Authorities.
The Association of the Regions of Morocco is an institution created at the initiative of the presidents of the Moroccan regions in 2007, with a view to consolidating the role of the regions, within the framework of the implementation of the Royal Project for advanced regionalization, regional development and the establishment of participatory democracy.
