The authorities foiled Saturday an immigration attempt 28 km off the port of Laayoune and arrested 52 would-be immigrants, including 09 women.
Two groups of migrants consisting of 56 individuals were arrested the next day in Laayoune.
The security services also thwarted the same day two attempts to illegal immigration in the town of Foum El Oued, allowing the arrest of 28 individuals.
Hundreds of migrants, Moroccan and sub-Saharan African citizens, have been arrested in recent weeks in the region of Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra thanks to the strengthening of control operations conducted by local authorities and various security services.
