Regarding the geographical spread of covid-19, the Casablanca-Settat region is still the hardest-hit one with 189 cases, ahead of Marrakech-Safi (127), Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (115), Fez-Meknes (113), Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra (2) and Guelmim-Oued Noun (2), he said, noting that no case has been reported so far in the region of Dakhla-Oued Eddahab.
The official called for caution with regard to the figures announced everyday, in the sense that the epidemiological analysis must be carried out on the basis of the general trend on several days.
These figures must be updated and analyzed with precision in the next three or four days in order to have more visibility on the pandemic in the country, while taking into consideration data relating in particular to confinement measures as well as medical surveillance of people who had contacts with Covid-19 cases, he added.
