Covid-19: Twenty-one (21) New Cases Confirmed in Morocco, 638 in Total (Ministry)

Rabat - Twenty-one (21) new cases of infection with the new coronavirus (Covid-19) were confirmed in Morocco from Tuesday night until Wednesday at 8:00 a.m., bringing the total number of cases of contamination to 638, announced the ministry of Health.

The number of deaths due to the coronavirus is 36, while that of cured people stands at 24, said the ministry on the portal "www.covidmaroc.ma".

In addition, the total number of cases excluded after negative laboratory results is 2,561, according to the same source.

The 638 positive cases were reported in the regions of Casa-Settat (179), Marrakech Safi (115), Rabat Salé Kenitra (111), Fez-Meknes (110), Tangier Tetouan Al Hoceima (44), the Eastern region (26), Beni Mellal-Khénifra (20), Souss-Massa (17), Daraa-tafilalet (13), Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (2) and Guelmim Oued Noun (1), specified the website.

The ministry urges citizens to respect the rules of hygiene and health safety as well as the preventive measures taken by the Moroccan authorities, and to show responsibility and patriotism.
