The accords seek to meet the will of the participants in this conference (January 12-14) to consolidate the close partnership between African countries and those of the Middle East.
In this regard, a twinning agreement was signed between the King Hussein Oncology Centre of Amman and the Hassan II University Hospital Complex of Fez, with the support of ALSC and the King Hussein Foundation.
Four accords on methods of collaboration to share means likely to fight against cancer were also concluded, with the support of the ALSC and the Roche laboratory in four countries, namely Gabon, Mali, Mauritania and Niger.
Therefore, the ALSC signed a cooperation agreement with Sylvia Bongo Ondimba Foundation for the Family and the ALSC, a partnership accord in the fight against cancer with Colina Mali Foundation for the Children and Enterprise, another partnership agreement with Mauritania’s National Oncology Centre of Nouakchott and Mauritanian League for the Fight against Cancer, in addition to a cooperation accord with Niger’s Tattali Liyali Foundation.
The Lalla Salma Association for the Fight against Cancer also inked an agreement with the French-African Group for Paediatrics Oncology with the aim of creating an Oncology African School.
International Conference on Cancer Control in the Middle East and Africa, held on January 12-14, ended with the adoption of a report called “Marrakech Call.”
The closing ceremony of the conference, held under the theme “What strategy for preventing cervical cancer and facilitating cooperation and access to healthcare in the Middle-East and Africa?,” was attended by Jordanian Princesses and First Ladies of African countries, as well as national and international figures.
