Spain's new "courageous and daring" position, expressed in the message sent by the Head of the Spanish Government to HM King Mohammed VI, is historic in the relations between Morocco and Spain, in the sense that Madrid considers Morocco as a strategic partner in the region, underlined the Chioukhs of the tribes in a press release read at the end of a meeting held Monday in Laayoune.

They also said that the importance of this position, which reflects Madrid's return to reason, emanates from Spain's knowledge of history, historical facts and human and demographic characteristics of the region, as well as the nature of the links uniting the Southern Provinces to the Kingdom of Morocco.

The Chioukhs also reiterated their constant mobilization behind HM King Mohammed VI in the defense of the territorial integrity of Morocco, while expressing their full support for the Sovereign's initiatives aimed at putting an end to this artificial dispute.
