Al Hoceima Events: Detainees who were on hunger strike have ended their strike (Prison administration)

Rabat - The detainees in the Al Hoceima events who were on hunger strike at Tangier 2 and Fez Ras El Ma prisons have submitted to the administrations of these two penal institutions notices announcing the end of their strike, said the General Delegation for Prison and Reintegration Administration (DGAPR).

As part of its efforts to humanize prison conditions for all detainees, the General Delegation has adopted, in coordination with the National Human Rights Council (CNDH), several measures to improve prison conditions for Al Hoceima events detainees at the local prisons of Tangier 2 and Fez Ras El Ma, the source added in a statement.

As a result, the hunger strikers have submitted to the administrations of the two prisons notices announcing the end of their strike, the source pointed out, noting that they were also able to contact their families to announce this news.
