This delegation took part in numerous meetings with various representatives of institutions (Parliament, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foundations and think tank) and exchanges with Austrian youth involved in politics and civil society in order to deepen relations between Morocco and Austria.

On the occasion of this exchange, a conference organized in partnership with the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna, under the theme "Coexistence among Civilizations: Successful models", took place with the effective participation of André Azoulay, Advisor to HM the King, accompanied also by Nawal El Moutawakel, Olympic champion and former Minister of Youth and Sports and member of the International Olympic Committee, and Nadia Bouaida, Chairwoman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, National Defense, Islamic Affairs and Moroccan Expatriates at the House of Representatives.

This event saw the participation of high-level Austrian personalities, namely, Claudia Plakolm, Secretary of State for Youth, Nico Marchetti, Member of the Austrian Parliament and Chairman of the North Africa & Austria Parliamentary Friendship Group, Heinz Fassmann, President of the Austrian Academy of Sciences and former Minister of Science and Education, Martina Schubert, Deputy Director of the Vienna School of International Studies, and Ebrahim Ivo Radwan, entrepreneur & initiator of Young Austrian Professionals. It was an opportunity to highlight the uniqueness of the Moroccan model of coexistence, based on the values of peace and living together.

All speakers from the Austrian side agreed that Morocco is strongly committed to promoting civilizational dialogue, but also is a player who acts concretely to enhance its model considered ''unique and hopeful''.

During this conference and over the course of a speech lasting more than an hour, the Advisor to HM the King highlighted "the consistency, specificity and social modernity of the society’s project implemented by Morocco."

"A project which our partners would be well advised to take the right measure, with reason and objectivity, especially with regard to the place made for pluralism of all its diversities and the richness of its complexity," he stressed, recalling that Morocco celebrates at the end of February 2023, the 240th anniversary of the establishment of its diplomatic relations with Austria (February 28, 1783).

Welcoming the official visit to Morocco of the Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer (from 27 February to 01 March), Azoulay put into perspective the ''historical depth of the contract of trust and mutual respect between the Moroccan and Austrian civilizations which, more than 2 centuries ago, were already authorities on the international scene''.

''Authority that knows today another momentum and a new topicality when Vienna and the institutions that sit there make the choice during a whole week to listen to what Morocco, strong of the spiritual and temporal leadership embodied by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, knows how to say and propose to others in the European area,” the Advisor of HM the King stressed, recalling that Morocco is the only country in the world whose Constitution mentions and writes in its preamble that the Moroccan Nation and People of today are the result of the contributions and the addition of civilizations that have taken root there, namely the Amazigh, Jewish and Arab-Muslim civilizations.

El Moutawakil then emphasized the vital role that women play in Moroccan society, through sports and politics, while sharing her personal commitment to initiatives carried by youth and its continued mobilization to raise always with honor and pride, the Moroccan experience internationally.

As for the MP Nadia Bouadia, she reaffirmed the unwavering and indivisible participation of the southern provinces in the enrichment of the Moroccan identity.

During this emotionally charged ceremony, Hachimi Idrissi's "rich and exceptional" media career, as well as his valuable contributions to the development of the national media field and the promotion of Lionism at the regional and international levels were celebrated.

Lions Club International president Brian Sheehan also honored Hachimi Idrissi, who is also the Global Leadership Team (GLT) coordinator for District 416 Morocco, with the International president's medal in recognition of his unwavering commitment to the promotion of Lionism and service to Lion communities.

In a moving and inspiring testimony, Moukite Abdou, former governor of District 416 Morocco, noted that Hachimi Idrissi has always shown great loyalty, noting that his commitment, support and sincerity command respect.

"His benevolence, sympathy and warm courtesy manifest a feeling of affection and an incomparable emotional relationship. Hachimi Idrissi has a lot of empathy and he is always there for others," he said, stressing that he had the chance to know him in the 90s, upon his return to Morocco and since the 1st day, he discovered a man of great culture, a man of letters and a great journalist.

Moukite presented the milestones of Hachimi Idrissi's singular professional career, stating that in the early 1980s he was one of the actors in the creation and development of intercultural and community communication in France, where he collaborated in several radio stations.

Upon his return to Morocco, he was a columnist, reporter and then Editor-in-Chief for many years of Maroc Hebdo International, before launching the French daily Aujourd'hui Le Maroc (2001), he added, stressing that Hachimi Idrissi has a lucid, fair and very formidable pen.

"He values others and does not take credit for their ideas. He advocates above all excellence and does not accept any tolerance for mediocrity," he insisted, affirming that Hachimi Idrissi does not use the freedom of the press in a self-interested intention, and has all the qualities required to be an excellent journalist: curiosity, rigor, responsiveness, adaptation, listening, benevolence and empathy are added to a spirit of synthesis, a solid general culture, a good level of French language, as well as a sense of contact.

Moukite recalled that Hachimi Idrissi was also president of the Moroccan Federation of Newspaper Publishers and the jury of the National Press Award (2007) and is president and Grand Officer of the Companions of Gutenberg-Morocco, president of the Atlantic Federation of African Press Agencies (FAAPA) and Director General of MAP, noting that he takes his mission as head of institutional information to heart to engage the Agency in all kinds of new media, while allowing it to demonstrate creativity.

Writer and poet, Khalil Hachimi Idrissi has to his credit several books and collections of poetry, namely "Billets Bleus, chroniques marocaines 1994-2000" published in 2005 by Eddif, "A la conquête de rien" published in 2011 by the Croisée des chemins, and the collection of poems "Subterfuges ou les détours des rimes rebelles", in 2012 published by Zanzibar and another entitled "La foi n'est convoquée que les jours de fête", published in 2017 by La Croisée des chemins, he added.

Moukite also praised Hachimi Idrissi for his commitment to social action within the framework of Lions Clubs International, noting that "since the first day of his induction into the Club, he has plunged us into the heart of social action, with a true commitment to solidarity with others, with the weakest, most exposed and most deprived segments of the population".

"He has truly dedicated a great deal of his life to Lionism," he said, noting that he has overcome obstacles and risen through the ranks from club president of Casa Doyen to zone president, then region president and then governor of district 416 Morocco in 2010.

"Khalil Hachimi Idrissi shined when he was appointed GLT Leader. He has put in place a strategy to quantitatively and qualitatively develop the future leaders of the District and to improve the influence of the lions at the regional and international levels," he concluded.

In a statement to MAP TV channel M24, the governor of the Lions District 416 Morocco, Tarik Moudni, said that Hachimi Idrissi, member of the Lions Club for more than 15 years, has done a lot for this movement and deserves this tribute and this distinction which is awarded to him by the president of the Lions Club International", specifying that "all the great achievements that have been made by the organization bear his imprint".

Located at the former headquarters of Bank Al Maghrib, the museum offers visitors the opportunity to discover the history of the mythical square of Jamaa el-Fna to enhance the "halqa" (storyteller's circle) and its various arts and raise public awareness of the major interest of this common heritage, in order to preserve it and pass it on to future generations, the same source notes.

The exhibition is dedicated to Jamaa el-Fna Square and its actors, with a course divided into different sections: the history of Marrakech and Jamaa el-Fna Square, the presentation of the halqa and "hlaiqis" (storytellers), as well as the secrets of their know-how and their jobs.

Designed in harmony with the building that houses it, the museum unveils a numismatic section, a tribute to Bank Al Maghrib and the staff who worked there, in addition to a space dedicated to the presentation of the square through the arts (painting, theater, cinema and photography). Two masterpieces of Jacques Majorelle that illustrate in detail the daily scenes of this place are exposed, as well as paintings of renowned artists who have marked the Moroccan painting in general and local in particular.

Jamaa El-Fna, Intangible Heritage Museum, is designed as an extension of this beating heart of Marrakech. It enriches the city's museum offer and contributes to preserving and disseminating its ancestral and universal heritage, an integral part of the collective memory.

Organized with the High blessing of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the 2023 solemn plenary session is attended by members of the Academy and eminent scientific guests, from Morocco and abroad, who will lead the proceedings of the various sessions, including Brazil, France, China, Canada and FAO.

The topic selected for this session, which continues until February 23, is particularly relevant to Moroccan agriculture, which is part of a long history, punctuated by successive innovations and adaptations whose pace has accelerated in recent decades, and which now raises various concerns (economic, social, scientific, cultural and environmental) particularly because of climate change and the problem of natural resources (water, soil and biodiversity).

As such, mobilizing all the possibilities offered by scientific and technological progress is imperative, whether it is the digital revolution likely to provide real services through the exploitation of numerous and varied data increasingly, the development of artificial intelligence, the significant advances in the field of biotechnology, especially to preserve biological diversity, or to proceed with the genetic improvement of edible plants and livestock.

In a speech, the Permanent Secretary of the Academy, Omar Fassi-Fehri said that with the surge in world food prices triggered by the destructuring of supply chains, due to the Covid-19 pandemi and amplified by the impact of the Russian-Ukrainian war on markets, the concepts of food security and food sovereignty are at the heart of questions that humanity is asking everywhere on the planet.

Faced with various hazards, including the degradation of land and water resources and the impact of climate change, the Kingdom must anticipate and act without delay, he stressed, noting that it needs a strategy that has as a starting point the identification of options and opportunities for action.
